Greetings my fellow deviants,

It has almost been two years since my last journal update and even longer since my last deviation. A lot of things have happened in those years, the most important of which has been getting Married and having two beautiful daughters.

With the family acquired and stable came the need for a Job. So I quit college and went to work. I bounced through a couple of jobs until I landed my current job as a Computer Technician for a company that builds Computers for forensic applications. Mainly it is grunt work (once you built one you've built a hundred) and the pay is "good for the area" (that means they pay me enough not to quit without another job in hand but not enough to afford insurance for my family (the greedy insurance company wants 1200 a month for my wife and daughters)).

With kids, a wife, and a job the amount of time allotted for hobbies went way down. It used to be I would get out of school run around take some creative photos (of which I would post maybe two in a hundred), spend time with my gf (now my wife), exercise, and finally play Everquest 2 all night.

Now I get up at 7:15am get ready for work, at work by 8, lunch at 11:30 when I get an hour to my eating and hobbies, back to work at 12:30, leave work at 5:00, home by 5:30, <insert shopping, laundry, napping, playing with the kids, gaming, writing, learning to play harmonica, and miscellaneous other things> till about 9:30 when I put Sarah to bed. Then it's usually a movie or some other form of relaxation and by then its too late to go out looking for something interesting the photograph.

Another nail in the coffin came when money got tight I had to shelve my film SLR and go back to just the digital. We bought a new Olympus Point and shoot and that's about all it can do and my HP point and shoot died. So no real creative settings on the camera to work with anymore.

Anyways the real point of this is maybe in the near future we will be upgrading our point and shoot to something with a bit more options. So I'm optimistic, and inspired, and in a new gadget frenzy.
